What is the Busy Little Book Club?

The Busy Little Book Club is a monthly book and craft subscription for kids. Each month we send two new picture books with two coordinating activities to bring the story to life!

What kind of books are included?

Picture books ideal for children 4-8 years old.

What kind of activities are included?

Anything you can imagine! One month we may be creating self-portraits on a miniature canvas and easel while the next we’re using air dry clay to sculpt a character from the book.

Are steps and supplies included with my subscription?

Yes! All of the supplies you’ll need (except for scissors) are included in your monthly subscription. We also create video tutorials so your child can follow along.

Can I send a gift or a gift certificate?

While we don’t offer gift certificates at this time, you can order a subscription as a gift by either clicking on the “Give a Gift’ button at or selecting the “gift” checkbox during checkout.

Will my recipient be notified of the subscription?

We send your recipient a message when their subscription ships and 1 day before their subscription renews if their gift was a renewing subscription.

How can I send a gift message?

Sending a gift message is easy! Head to the gift message page and fill out your recipient’s name, email address, and your special message.

When is my first payment due?

Your first payment is made right when you order, and we ship out your first box within a few days.

When does my subscription renew?

Monthly subscriptions renew on the 11th day of every month. Prepaid subscriptions renew on the 11th day of their designated renewal month depending on whether a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription was prepaid.

Only subscriptions marked as a gift will have the option not to renew.

How can I update my payment method?

Log into your account and manage your account information, shipping address, or billing information.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is completely FREE for our subscribers! It actually costs us an average of $10, but we absorb that cost for you.

Where does Busy Little Book Club ship to?

We currently ship to residents in the US, including APO/FPO addresses.

When will my order ship?

Your first order will ship within 2-3 business days. Each monthly subscription afterwards will ship around the 7th of the month.

How long does it take for my kit to arrive?

We ship via USPS Priority Mail, so we anticipate 1-3 business days excluding holidays or USPS delays outside of our control. Please note that COVID-19 delays may affect shipments, and that this is an unfortunate incident that is outside of our control. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

At this time, we do not offer any shipping option faster than Priority.

How do I track my order?

When your order ships, we’ll send you a shipping notification email with a tracking number. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before checking the status, as it can take some time for USPS to update their tracker.

Why isn’t my tracking information updating?

Your tracking number and shipping notification is generated as soon as we print your label. So initially, you may not see activity right away as USPS must pick up your package from our location and then scan your label. Once that happens, it can take up to 24 hours for tracking to update.

Unfortunately, there are instances where the USPS tracker never updates or updates on an extreme delay. The online tracker failing to update does not mean your package is delayed or lost.

How can I update my shipping information?

You can update your shipping information in your account here. Please make sure your shipping address is current before the 5th of the month to make sure your subscription gets to the right place.

What if my subscription goes missing or arrives damaged?

If your subscription goes missing, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing We will open a case with the USPS for a missing package and may issue a refund at our discretion based on their investigation and findings. In some cases, a package can be located and successfully delivered.

If your subscription arrives damaged, please send an email to with a photo of the package as it arrived and any damaged contents. We are happy to issue a partial refund at our discretion as a credit to your account based on the extent of the damage.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time in your account dashboard. Please login to manage your subscription.

When is the last day to cancel my subscription to prevent future charges?

We ask that you cancel your subscription by 11:59 pm ET on the 10th of the month to prevent future charges. 

Help! My subscription renewed, but I didn’t want it to.

Unless the “gift” option is checked during the checkout process, all of our subscriptions renew every month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months depending on the frequency selected when you initially purchased.

Please note that this is at the author/illustrator’s expense and should be a book suitable for ages 4-8 years old.
